Job Description:
You will be responsible for providing System Administration support for migrating a research project into operations.  The tasking will include obtaining and configuring Virtual Machines (VMs), loading Operating systems, installing software, performing security hardening, patching, and monitoring status. The position also will support ISSO and ISSEs in obtaining and maintaining security certification and accreditation.  You will need to have the ability to apply your knowledge of computer operations, platforms, systems, architectures, functions, and terminology.  You will also independently read, write and implement standard operating procedures and technical documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • TS/SCI Clearance with FSP
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines
  • 3 years of System Administration experience.  An additional 4+ years of System Administration experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 7 years. 
  • 2+ years’ experience with PKI authentication services.

    • Configuration and Maintenance of Virtual Machines
      • VCenter/VMWare
    • AWS Experience
      • VPC, EC2, S3
    • Linux and Windows operating systems
      • CentOS, RedHat, Windows 10, Window Server
    • DNS Experience
    • Scripting languages (e.g. Perl, bash, etc.)
    • Ansible Playbooks
    • Jenkins – Continuous Integration /Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
    • OS and Software application patching (e.g. IAVA, Version updates)
